About the illustrator
_edited.png)
My name is Bekah and I'm a children's book illustrator based in the UK. I was born in Wisconsin, but I spent most of the first 16 years of my life in Bolivia.
After I moved back to the US, I finished high school and went to university in La Crosse, Wisconsin. During my degree I also studied fine art in Spain for a semester.
In April 2019, I married my husband Sam. We've known each other since I was 12, and grew up together in Bolivia. He is British and secured a job in Swindon, England, so we moved there.
I continued illustrating while working part-time for a local charity, and when I was made redundant during COVID-19 I decided to pursue being a children's book illustrator full-time.
