It was such a joy illustrating this middle grade book alongside Alice and the team at Big Thinking Publishing! This story is about a girl with cerebral palsy who meets the most unlikely friend on the beach just outside her home. Their friendship leads to many adventures and the discovery that true friends are worth fighting for. I felt lucky as the illustrator because this story allowed me to explore illustrating cozy indoor scenes, whimsical beach scenes, AND wild coral reefs!
